Coachella was everything and more BUT coming back into reality I realize how much festival season takes a toll on ones body. My body ain’t the same as it used it be and needs a little extra love and care. Here are my go to items when my body needs that extra oomph!
Boscia Luminizing Black Mask taking extra care of your skin after exposing it to dirt, sun and harsh extremities from the outdoors is SUPER important. Your skin is just screaming for vitamin restoration, extra cleansing and detoxification. This mask seriously is amazing and fun to peel off your face hehehe
Can’t stress enough how crucial vitamin C is for your face after long hours in the sun. I usually hate putting on serums and oils on my face so I just mix 2-3 drops of this serum in my moisturizer every night which makes it a lot less greasy.
Clinique Even Better Eyes Dark Circle Corrector nothing worse than dark, droopy and tired eyes!
Fresh Lip Polish my lips get super dry in the the winter and summer and this stuff is perfect for exfoliating my chapped lips. A little bit goes a LONG way…who wants to kiss chapped and dry lips?! (YUCK!)
Organic Avenue Fresh Pressed Juices I absolutely love love love their juices! The Mellow Green and Cashew Milk are my favorites. These juices are liquid vitamins and essential for any time you need extra energy or feeling sluggish.
Bumble and Bumble Deeep Masque I love the summer but I hate how dry my hair gets from the sun and beach spray I put on so hair masques are a MUST for my thick hair. I switch my masques up quite often but my go to’s are this Bumble and Bumble one and the Biolage Ultra Hydrating Balm (both smell great too!!)
I’ve been waiting for this since I was on the plane back from Coachella 2012 and FINALLY the day has come!! The best times with my closest friends and the people I love the most in my life on a desert, in cutoffs, tanks and just jammin’ out till the sun goes down. Phoenix, The xx, Janelle Monae, Hot Chip, The Postal Service, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Of Monsters and Men, Tegan and Sara…OH MY. LET’S DO THIS!
I love sharing my favorite drugstore finds so here are a few that have become a part of my everyday make up routine. I really feel like I struck gold with these finds! I still think it’s important to spend a little extra on a good moisturizer, foundation and concealer but, when it comes to lipstick, eye liners/pencils and especially mascara I honestly believe drugstore brands get the job done at a fraction of the price!
Covergirl Queen Collection Lipcolor Lipstick in South Beach Sand & Covergirl Queen Collection Jumbo Gloss Balm in Pink Diamond: I fell in love with Taylor Swift’s lip color in this month’s Elle magazine cover and was shocked to find out inside the mag that the lovely nude was actually made by Covergirl! The jumbo gloss stick was an impulse purchase and surprisingly I prefer it over Clinique’s Chubby Sticks! The sticks are packed with ingredients like Shea and Mango butter to help moisturize your lips while giving them a lovely sheen.
L’oreal Telescoptic Shocking Extensions: So my go to mascara has always been Maybelline’s The Collasal mascara but I found a new favorite! It’s good to switch it up and try different brushes and formulas to see what works best with your lashes. I usually like the big, fat brushes for volume but I realized that finding a brush that LENGTHENS gives a more dramatic look. This tube of lashy goodness wraps around EVERY single lash to give you long, dark and dramatic eye lashes as if you were one of the Kardashsian’s. It’s seriously a miracle in a tube.
Wet n Wild Idol Eye in Pixie: At $1.99 a pop you cannot go wrong. I used to buy and feel utterly guilty for spending $20 on Make Up Forever Aqua Shadow but finally have found an alternative that comes SUPER close to the expensive stuff. Not going to lie, of course the Make Up Forever stays on and takes two cotton balls soaked in eye remover to take off but, what’s the harm in re-applying throughout the day? I love applying this stuff on the corners of my eyes to brighten them up.
Hope you guys give these all a try and love them as much as I do! xx
